Port of Truro – Patrol Boat

The Port of Truro regularly patrols the River Fal and its creeks, if you are on the water you are likely to see them! Based at Malpas Marina the Patrol Officers provide friendly advice and assistance to harbour users and members of public. When things don’t go to plan they are experienced and well equipped to deal with a wide range incidents or emergency situations.

Protection of the peace, beauty and safety of is a priority for us in managing the harbour.  Enforcement of the Harbour Byelaws ensure that Harbour users are protected from factors such as speeding vessels, anti-social behaviour, undue wash or dangerous seamanship. In addition, we work closely with various Police units to monitor and reduce marine crime.

Truro Speed Limits

This includes our river pontoons, Malpas Marina and the collection of Harbour dues and mooring fees which are vital to the Ports overheads and future development.

The patrol boat can be contacted via 07736618509 (Harbour Patrol), VHF Channel 12 or 01872 324100 (Malpas Marina)
