Pilotage Direction Review for the Falmouth Pilotage Area (including Truro and Penryn)

As some of you are aware we have conducted a process to review the Pilotage Directions for the Falmouth Pilotage Area (including Truro and Penryn) under the requirements of the Pilotage Act 1987. This has been a joint process between the three CHA’s within the area.

As part of the process we have completed and reviewed risk assessments, considered traffic flow, vessel types and incident records. This document contains the intended update to the existing pilotage directions. It is our intention that, following a consultation period from the 10/02/25 to the 31/03/25.

The updated directions will come into force during spring 2025.
