In early August a dredge campaign was undertaken at the harbour. Work focused on the area between the Rank Building Outer Wall and Albert Pier as well as the Lighthouse Pier where Scillonian III berths.
A hydrographic survey will be undertaken in September and published in the Document Centre.

Penzance was blessed with a glorious late summer day for the visit of the Worlds Last Seagoing Paddle Steamer, the Waverley. The visit was the first passenger sailing from Penzance by the ship which had previously visited in 1986 for repairs by the then Holman & Sons Dry Dock business whilst on passage. Arriving from
The Royal Navy P2000 class patrol boat HMS Blazer visited Penzance between 30th and 31st August. The crew received a warm welcome from the staff who were pleased to see the Royal Navy revisit the harbour.
The office is located on the first floor of the Treffry Building in Newquay Harbour and is available by way of a new 6 year lease. There are communal kitchen and toilet facilities. The applicant’s business must be ancillary to the fishing industry or other related maritime activity to be eligible to occupy this building.
