The replica sailing barge ‘Snark’ recently came to Lighterage Quay for a short stay with a few passengers. The vessel is engaged in charter work around the Southwest Coast. She is based near Exeter.

Penzance was blessed with a glorious late summer day for the visit of the Worlds Last Seagoing Paddle Steamer, the Waverley. The visit was the first passenger sailing from Penzance by the ship which had previously visited in 1986 for repairs by the then Holman & Sons Dry Dock business whilst on passage. Arriving from
The Royal Navy P2000 class patrol boat HMS Blazer visited Penzance between 30th and 31st August. The crew received a warm welcome from the staff who were pleased to see the Royal Navy revisit the harbour.
