Paddle Steamer ‘Waverley’ Visits Penzance

Penzance was blessed with a glorious late summer day for the visit of the Worlds Last Seagoing Paddle Steamer, the Waverley. The visit was the first passenger sailing from Penzance by the ship which had previously visited in 1986 for repairs by the then Holman & Sons Dry Dock business whilst on passage. Arriving from Falmouth the ship sailed with over 600 passengers aboard to visit Penzance before returning to our harbour. She returned to Falmouth on departure.
