Bude Sea Lock Operational

Following clearance of sand from the lock chamber and outer cill the Historic Sea Lock is now available for use. A successful test cycle was completed on Thursday 25th May. The Sea Lock can be operated when the tide height exceeds 2.4m over outer cill (*the outer cill is 3.6m above Chart Datum). Prior notification of arrival should be made to the Harbour Master not less than 48 hours before your planned ETA. Visitor charges are detailed in Cornwall Council Harbours Board and  Maritime Dues,  Fees and Charges (charge 54).

Information on entering Bude from seaward, as well as tidal information, can be viewed here or a copy of the Bude Harbour Tide Tables 2023 booklet can be collected from the Harbour Office adjacent to the sea lock.
